As a Certified Customs Specialist and holding Professional Status with the Canada Border Services Agency, he combines his expertise with a strategic, results-driven approach to ensure seamless and compliant global trade operations.
Jill HurleySenior Director, Global Trade Consulting, United States, Livingston
As Senior Director and a licensed attorney in the State of New York, Jill oversees our U.S. import and export projects. She reviews her clients’ business models and practices to determine risk then provides solutions for risk management, compliance, and penalty mitigation. She has expertise in DDTC registration, export license application, export license management, and extraterritorial controls for foreign companies of products and services covered under the EAR, ITAR, and Sanctions regulations. Jill also assists companies in complying with U.S. nuclear export controls for nuclear materials handling equipment, nuclear materials, technology, and hardware and technology associated with nuclear plants and facilities.
Michael Zobin
Senior Director, Global Trade Consulting, Canada, Livingston International
As the Senior Director of Global Trade Consulting at Livingston International, Michael oversees a team of associates and works with clients to help them minimize risk and implement new processes to align business goals with Government initiatives and regulations. Michael is a recognized expert in customs and trade with more than 25 years of experience. He regularly conducts seminars on duty mitigation strategies, origin, valuation, and compliance best practices, for Canadian and non-resident importers. Michael has been invited to speak, on several occasions, by the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) at the regional and national levels. He has also presented at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to deliver a presentation on the Least Developed Country Tariff (LDCT). Michael holds the CSCB designations of Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS) and Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) as well as the NCBFAA CCS US designation. He has successfully completed the Canada Customs Professional Examination. He is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Jes CrownoverVice President, eCommerce, Livingston International
As Vice President, eCommerce. Jes is responsible for providing innovative customs clearance and digital solutions for eCommerce retailers, platforms, and consolidators across countries and continents. She joined Livingston in 2022, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in logistics and tech with focus on setting, refining, and executing on the strategic direction of the eCommerce function, service optimization, technology transformation, and team recruiting and development. Prior to joining Livingston, Jes spent more than 10 years at one of the largest global logistics companies where she executed on the company’s global portfolio vision across all regions and operating companies and developed customer experience enhancements across solution offerings. She was instrumental in developing its eCommerce and global trade strategy and managed and operated a global trade services business dedicated to eCommerce and the cross-border experience. Jes is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Memphis. Jes is also a certified PMP, licensed US customs broker, and CBP permit qualifier.
